The V-ribbed belt, also widely known as a Poly-V belt, combines multiple longitudinal ribs in a single flexible belt.

This design provides excellent flexibility and allows the belt to operate efficiently around relatively small pulleys and complex accessory-drive layouts while maintaining effective power transmission at operating speed.

DRB V-ribbed belt construction incorporates high-strength, low-elongation tensile cords together with fiber-reinforced rubber compounds engineered for resistance to heat, oil and wear. The belt structure is also designed for smooth and quiet operation.

This requires accurate tooth geometry and pitch, dimensional stability, tensile strength and materials capable of withstanding heat and repeated operating cycles.
